Our latest mini pack is out, and it’s only available (for now) on the Thieves Can’t Patreon. We are preparing a bigger pack for either the adventurer’s guild or the DM store — we’re not sure which, though.
If you’re interested in sample minis to see if it’s something you’re interested in, we’re happy to oblige. Reach out to me on twitter @RamenEmpire.
I have not been able to find a free screenwriting program that wasn’t also trying to sell me its premium version, or a subscription, or that doesn’t require saving my work to the cloud. I suspect a lot of people out there may share my frustration and general “lack of seventy bazillion dollars to spend on a special text formatting program.”
So I made an MS Word Template that does as much of the formatting for screenplays as humanly possible. It’s free. Tips are appreciated but in no way necessary. You can distribute this in any way that you like. I’ll keep it current to the best of my abilities with MS Word as that program evolves. If you have suggestions, comments, problems, or questions, drop ’em in the comments.
I’ve updated the tokens available at the $1 support level. They are now ready for online use.
The tokens include:
4 Tieflings (…everyone loves Tieflings I guess), a dwarf, a kobold, a spider, a giant snake, a beholder, a raven, two goblins, a skeleton minotaur and three humans. (Some of the ones available for online use haven’t been color-correcting, but printing them out should still work if you’re not hyper-fussy.)
We plan to add more tokens as time marches forward, so keep your eyes peeled. You can download them over on our Patreon.
I’m super excited to announce our $3 Patron Reward level over on the Thieves Can’t Patreon — D&D Paper Minifigurines. They’re fantastic game-pieces. We’ve been having a blast with them, and we’ll be releasing more every month. Our first two are our own Candor Dauntless, Tiefling Warlock, and my girlfriend’s Mousefolk, Tippering, the Fancy Mouse of Cornwood, who is pants-shittingly awesome.
Depression set in pretty hard about 10 minutes after I graduated and realized the job-hunt was going to be eternal. That sapped a good deal of my creative energy, but I’m better now, and I’m getting back in the creative trenches. (I never stopped my part of making these comics, but Zach carried a massive creative load for the last year or so while I was basically going through the motions and letting myself disappear into lettering and other technically creative, but automatic tasks.)
This is an old story of mine, and you may have seen the cover art before from my attempt to launch it on Amazon a year or so back. I’m not very happy with how Amazon has handled my stuff in the past, so I am re-launching the story on Gumroad.
If you’re a $3 Patron for Ramen Empire, you already have access to this, and I adore you for your support.
I’ve got ideas for making future podcasts better, but Zach and I just wanted to talk to everybody kind of off the cuff.
We have some cool stuff up on Patreon right now, and it’s for Thieves Can’t, but I want my Ramen Empire readers to have it, because I suspect they might care about both IPs equally. If you’re supporting us at the $3 level on the Ramen Empire Patreon, here is a reward dump from the Thieves Can’t patreon page.
We’ve also put up her character sheet, for people who are curious about the stats behind the character. This might also help people who are playing the “which Ramen Empire character is playing which TC character” game. It might not, though. Zach said I have to stop helping.
And last and probably least, our Thieves Can’t Podcast, wherein we talk about Candor’s alignment, why Zach is chaotic evil, and the Mousefolk Homebrew.
